This time we’re gonna show you some truly inspiring works with text, also referred to as typography. This can be used many places; in magazines, advertisements, websites, logos and more. These great pieces will show you that there are no boundaries and that you can make almost anything with text if you have a good portion of creativity and talent.
Typography can in todays terms be so much more than what you find in a book or magazine. It’s turned into a very inspiring form of art, and there are many great pieces out there. Many times they can be mixed with either other graphical elements or some sort of poem or saying. Here we’ve picked out 50 pieces that can inspire you and maybe give you some new ideas. Enjoy!

Most of these display a very weak level of knowledge of type or design. Sure, they can run photoshop. I can teach a 3 year old to do that. Also, the word “awesome” is as good as it gets. There is no “extremely” or other degree to this most overused word by people who are severely lacking in vocabulary skills.

Most of these are equivalent to a level 1 type class’ final assignment…alright, but many boil down to lining up some type in a shape which, when you think about it, is a boring and very easy technique.
The addiction one is the worst though. Terrible.
If you’re going to make a post about “Extremely Awesome” typography, make sure you know what you’re looking at.

I teach typography, and would never recommend this, creating images with type is naff. There is a difference between design and decorating.

Merav, mostly yo your comment on ‘good old days’ and ‘half naked models’
the true good old days of art were in fact half naked models as humans looked for the perfection with in the human body or the models in fact were naked, such as the ‘David’ or any piece found in ancient times and the v unless the church had it painted over. Art should not be judged in a negative manner due to nudity. I learned this my self at a young age with the image ‘the origin of life’ which is a paining of the lower torso of a naked female. This art work is just as beautiful as any piece of art, even if it is text and discriminates to those who do not know the English language. This art is then only understood of it’s beauty when those who look at it speak the language, so the beauty has a high possibility to be lost.

These are awful. most of them are not original at all and some of them even look like flyers for tacky beach parties. if these are the 50 best examples of ‘awesome’ typography you can come up with you probably have a very bad taste or you just dont know that much about typography.

Most of these remind me of mediocre Computer Arts graphics, and some are truly awful.
The raven, lemon, daily 365, love and knowledge. These are extremely awful examples of typographic skill.

I have to say that when I saw all of these different types of typeograghy designs I was absolutely blown away! Just seeing what these designers have done when playing with words and letters has creates such a magnificent Art display. I hope that someday I will be able to inspire and encourage other people with this type of creative media like these people have for me!! :]

I never gave much thought about typography until a classmate of mine gave a presentation on it. So prominent in our everyday lives yet so little examined. Anyway, of these I think Burdened is by far the best.

While these images are all quite interesting as well as beautiful, I was particularly impressed by two. “What Lies Within” as well as “Steven Paul Jobs”. Both images have a great deal of depth and character I wish I had full sized images.
