“A picture paints a thousand words” – or does it?

In the era we’ve known as Web 2 I believe that the art of using images to convey complex messages has been lost

While Web 2 brought a new era of interactivity, the corporate market was slow to adapt and yet just as they are getting to grips with it – Web 3 appears to be looming large on the horizon.

The rush to unleash search engine optimized information on to the web has lead to an explosion of uninspired and largely dull interactive concepts. Combine this with the availability of user generated content and you are left with websites with the aesthetic values of a food fight.

Our senses are under assault with web weary browsers inundated with information.

Pictures and imagery have long been used to communicate effectively and they are a powerful tool that can connect with your audience. It is worth remembering that while the web is still evolving with intelligent search, funky widgets and endless social networking opportunities, quality images can deliver your message to your website visitors in seconds.

After all, with so much information to sift through surely the time pressed browser deserves an eye catching encounter and you never know, it may just convey your message to them in a lot less than a thousand words!!
